Ales and Rails, June 2026

Finally, finally we have been able to get out and about in the motorhome again. A perfect storm of moving house, a rubbish winter and health issues had put things on hold for a while but we’re up and running again and getting used to slightly different logistics now the motorhome is in storage about 20 minutes away from home.

What tempted us out was the North Norfolk Railway Beer Festival held at Weybourne station. This turned out to be an excellent event with a great selection of beers and ciders in a marquee on the carpark with various music acts on a small stage. We stayed on a campsite just 10 mins walk away for a couple of nights which was ideal. On the 2nd night we had a visit from Hannah, Arlo and Archer as Hannah wanted to try out camping with the 2 boys - she was able to get a pitch right by ours and Arlo in particular loved the trains!

After all that fun we had another night on the edge of Holt CP at a spot we’ve stayed before followed by another in suburban Cromer which was equally good. At both spots we walked - around Holt CP with some great nature highlights and into Cromer town.

Roll on the next one which is already planned…
