The Dog Days are Over!

Well, that's it, today is the day I have finally hung up my paintbrush and retired!

I have worked ever since leaving school at the age of 16 and after many years at Norwich Union (now Aviva), followed by stints at Eversheds Solicitors and in the murky world of estate agency I became self-employed. Initially running my own birdwatching tour company and then, for the last 14 years my own painting and decorating business. In that time it feels like I've painted every house in the Pulham/Harleston area! 99% of my customers have been lovely and a pleasure to work for. As in life though there is always that 1% that spoil things!

I feel like I've earned a slightly early retirement.

So, a new era begins with some R&R over Christmas and the New Year while we gradually sort things out and line ourselves up for life on the road in our motorhome. That starts at the end of March and will continue for as long as we feel we want to - such is the freedom!

A chance to re-connect with the natural world and become part of the nomadic revolution.

As we've finally entered winter with the weather having turned here's a frosty picture of Needham Mill in the lovely Gipping Valley, Suffolk.
