Go West! 12 -14 April 2024

Well, to West Norfolk anyway!

As I write this the rain and wind are lashing at the window - but we had a warm and dry long weekend off grid in West Norfolk and the Brecks. For once the weather gods were kind to us.

We spent Friday night at one of our favourite overnight spots at West Acre and then Saturday night deep in the forest north of Brandon along Harling Drove. After the quadbike and motorbike noise had died down around teatime we had a peaceful night at the latter. Although Belinda was a bit of a scaredy-cat as we were a pretty remote and a long way from civilisation. I think she's watched too many horror films!

As well as walks at West Acre and Santon Downham under lovely blue skies we also visited Oxborough Hall. Being newly-fledged National Trust members we are determined to make the most of our membership. Oxborough was fantastic and very photogenic.

The weekend was also an opportunity to try out our new custom-made motorhome mattress (from Made2measure Mattresses) and it made a big difference. Happy days!
