Introducing the Van!

Having made our decision to retire and informed our existing loyal customers we have been overwhelmed with all the heartwarming replies wishing us well on our travels. We wanted to give everyone plenty of notice so they can plan their own futures in the childcare and painting/decorating areas. What a lovely bunch of people we have in the Pulham area!

For anyone interested in where and how we aim to live in our motorhome we thought we would share some information and pictures of what is to be our home on wheels.

Our vehicle is a 2016 Fiat Ducato Swift Rio which we have now had for over 2 years. With just 17000 miles on the clock it's got plenty of life in it yet - unlike us! We are lucky that it is very well equiped with a full size oven and hob with 4 rings that run on either gas or mains electric, a 3-way fridge/freezer that runs similarly but also on battery whilst driving, a microwave, TV with satellite dish, air-conditioning unit, electric drop-down double bed, toilet/shower/wet room, kitchen sink and a truma heating system for heating and hot water. It is advertised as a 4-berth but we find it excellent for the 2 of us. As well as sofa seats at the rear we also have a table and sofa seat at the front and both the driver's and passenger's seats both swivel to face backwards for extra seating. The main feature we love is the giant hatchback which really does bring the outside in when opened up. It was what made us fall in love with it when we bought it as it's a rarely seen feature.

Over the last couple of years we have gradually decorated and equiped the van as we certainly don't aim to slum it when we're on the road! More of that in future posts.

In the meantime here are some pictures to help set the scene...
